Uplifting Experience

Leah Holtom & Kayla Whittey are two members of the new young adult performace group at North Bramalea United Church, the Uprising. They will be taking the stage again this year to entertain our ears with pop songs - you don't want to miss it!  As you may know, Lucas' younger sister has always been a part of the carnival from day one. Leah & Kayla performed the last few years and blew the audience away with their powerful vocals. They never cease to amaze us with a vocal strength and range, not expected from such young women.   The beauty of their voices is almost visible... palpable as it lifts you up and away on the sweet summer air.

In 2015, we Celebrate the Life of Nicolas Gabriel at the Carnival.

Nicolas was a student of Sir Winston Churchill Public School.  Like most boys his age, he loved to have fun and play with his friends.  He was an avid online gamer and spent many an hour crafting in Minecraft.  When not on the computer he loved to game on his Nintendo Wii U. But don't let that fool you, he also loved to run outside which made him an ideal team player on his baseball team. His other passions included Godzilla, Monster Trucks, Angry Birds and Batman - whom he once met in Brampton!!

Entertainment with the Magic Touch!

RON'S PERFORMANCE IS NOT JUST A "MAGIC SHOW", IT'S A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE OF ILLUSION, COMEDY, AND AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION; INVOLVING YOUR GROUP IN SOLID ENTERTAINMENT. WITH OVER 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PERFORMING MAGIC IN THE TORONTO AREA, YOUR EVENT IS SURE TO BE A SUCCESS WITH THE MAGIC of RON MARTIN.

"It's never the same show twice, this is because more than half the show involves audience participation. This element not only allows the audience to become totally involved in the magic being performed; but also keeps the show spontaneous and alive, to the spectators and performers alike. Above all, audience interaction helps break the barrier usually present in a formal performance, thus making the magic feel a little more real."

In 2014, we Celebrated the Life of Johnathan Campbell at the Carnival.

A student of Sheridan College and active member of the the Norval United church Youth Group, JC enriched the lives of so many children, youth and adults.  His smile and sense of wonder hid a shy and timid boy, who grew to be a strong leader and giving young man.  Reading was a passion of JC's and you could often find his nose buried in a gripping novel. This gave him a varied and interesting mix of topics to discuss with anyone who happened to strike up a conversation with John.

The Johnathan Campbell Youth Leadership Scholarship is available at Norval United Church for any young adult who exemplifies that leadership and gentle caring spirit, embodied by Johnathan.

In the year, 2013, we highlighted Kesean Williams at the Carnival.

What an amazing boy, with a full heart overflowing with generosity and compassion.

Kesean Williams
Sunrise July 21, 2003 ~ Sunset January 24, 2013

Kesean,
We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name,

in life we love you dearly
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
the day God called you home,
you left us beautiful memories
that we can call our own.
Your warmth will never leave us
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you
you are always by your side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.
